VAT & Customs Clearance

Read before ordering: Online Medina is a small independent structure. Our size does not yet allow us to automatically include VAT and customs clearance fees for over 220 countries in our prices.

Unlike major international platforms, we do not have integrated foreign logistics. VAT and customs clearance fees must be paid directly to the carrier, in accordance with your country’s laws.

When your order arrives at its destination, the carrier will contact you (often via WhatsApp or SMS) to facilitate delivery.

You will simply need to click on the link they send and pay the following fees:

  • VAT applicable in your country, calculated according to local regulations.
  • Possible customs duties (rare, thanks to Morocco’s many free trade agreements).
  • Customs processing fees (typically 1.8% of the package value, with a minimum of €20), corresponding to the service of advancing VAT and performing customs clearance.

Manufacturing Lead Times

Each item on our site is made to order by hand, by artisans certified by the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

We are committed to offering a transparent and respectful experience that honors traditional know-how.

Since our products are made to order, manufacturing times depend on the type of item (ranging from a few days to a few weeks).

Our creations are handmade, which means each piece is unique. The photos on our site are representative examples: your item will have the same spirit but may show slight variations — a guarantee of its authenticity.

International Delivery

  • Shipping fees: Free, regardless of the destination country.
  • Transport: Deliveries are handled by our partner DHL, in more than 220 countries.
  • Delivery times: Times vary depending on the complexity of the product’s manufacturing and the destination. Regular tracking is provided until delivery.
  • Customs clearance: DHL contacts the customer upon arrival of the package to settle VAT and complete customs clearance.

Payment Methods

Payment is made exclusively online via the secure Payzone Maroc platform. Accepted cards are: Visa, Mastercard and Maestro. All transactions are protected by the 3D Secure protocol.

  • Orders are confirmed only after full payment validation.
  • Online Medina never has access to customers’ banking data; processing is handled by Payzone.
  • All payments are collected in Moroccan dirhams (MAD).
